Close Motorcycles has been serving central Sydney for over 20 years. We’ve grown from a small workshop into a full dealership, selling, servicing and repairing a wide range of major bike and scooter brands. Still the same owners, still the same mechanics. Old school experience you can rely on in this ever changing city of ours!
MEET THE OWNERS
Andrew Close bought his first bike, a CB175, when he was thirteen years old (and didn’t tell his mum). He’s been riding, racing, and building bikes ever since.
Daryl Faddy bought his first bike, a non running CB250T, at sixteen for fifty bucks. He had to fix it himself so he could get to work, 40km on bald tyres, over dirt roads in outback NSW.
It was always on the cards that these two mates would start a bike shop.
MEET THE TEAM
We’re a tight knit team at Close MC.
Mark, our head tech, has been with us for twenty years. Hiroshi, who runs our Marrickville workshop, arrived as an apprentice in 1999, and has been with us ever since. Drew (who everyone knows is the real boss..) started back in 2002 as a mechanic, with his brother Ryan coming on board soon after. Ryan now manages the Redfern workshop. Takeo, our star Japanese recruit, joined in 2015.
Daryl’s and Andrew’s backgrounds are both in bike and accessory sales and workshops, going back years before they started Close MC, having managed Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki dealerships in Parramatta and Sydney back in the nineties. We can provide help, advice and support for riders in the City and inner suburbs, so come in and benefit from our experience!
