Features
Engine & Performance
The new 755cc parallel twin cylinder engine is designed to produces a hard hit of top end power, with maximum output of 67.5kW @ 9,500rpm. This is accompanied by significant usable torque in the low to mid rpm range, rising to a peak of 75Nm @ 7,250rpm. The result is an engine that provides usable, enjoyable performance for rides of all types and all distances.
The assist and slipper clutch includes an assist function to reduce the operation load of the clutch lever as well as a slipper function to mitigate impacts from rapid engine braking accompanying downshifting.
Braking and Forks
The front brake boasts dual 310mm “wave” discs while the rear uses a 1-pot caliper and 256mm single disc. Enjoy riding with a sense of security from paved to unpaved roads.
To ensure off-road performance and neutral handling in various types of road environments, SHOWA suspension has been used in both front and rear. Inverted front forks are made of forged aluminium for lighter weight and optimum balance between strength and rigidity. Rear suspension has a spring preload adjuster, pressurized shock absorber with a separate tank and Pro Link aluminium hybrid swing arm for high manoeuvrability.
Tech
There are 4 default riding modes to choose from, plus a customisable USER mode: “SPORT” mode delivers maximum performance with minimum intervention. “STANDARD” is a well balanced setting for everyday riding. “RAIN” delivers the least aggressive power delivery for extra reassurance on wet or slippery surfaces. “GRAVEL” is the ideal setting for riding on rougher off-road terrain. “USER” offers the ability to customise the settings to your preferred combination and save for future use.
When you link your smartphone to the Honda Smartphone Voice Control system you can navigate easily to favourite places and local points of interest, make and receive phone calls, generate and respond to SMS text messages, as well as other messaging apps, listen to music via a favourite streaming app, check the day’s local weather forecast, and, when using navigation, the weather forecast of their destination
Ergonomics
The Transalp’s body lines have been specifically designed to reduce wind drag and rider fatigue. For open visibility forward, and excellent wind deflection, the screen’s height has been carefully optimised. Its compact width also minimises turbulence from trapped air.
